Funeral services for Lena LaRue Ruby, 75, of Monroe will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Aleck Nyegaard officiating. Burial will be in Downsville cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Ms. Ruby went to her heavenly home on December 11, 2017. She loved taking care of animals. She was a caregiver to many people and truly enjoyed her work. She enjoyed playing Gin Rummy and cooking. She was a good listener, always giving good advice.

Ms. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, George & Elizabeth Oaks Miller; two sisters, Fannie Lee Nelson and Virginia Miller; and one brother, George Hansford Miller.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving niece, Claytie Miller; great nieces and nephews, Ayita Wages, Latisha Wages, DeAnna Wages, Dustin Wages, Joshua Wages and Elisa Wages, Sr.; nine great-great nieces and nephews; one sister, Mary Beth Mercer of El Dorado, Ark.; and a host of friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Wages, Elisha Wages, Sr. Donald Bouwell and Allen Thomas.

Visitation will be from 9:00am -10:00am, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
