Funeral services for Lee Roy Day, 86, of Sterlington will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Paron Baptist Church with Bro. Jarrod Hawthorne officiating. Burial will be in Liberty cemetery in Linville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Day went to his heavenly home on November 9, 2017. He was a member of Paron Baptist Church. Mr. Day was a welder and owned his own welding shop. Lee Roy worked at the Chemical Plant in Sterlington for 42 years and spent 4 years serving his country in the Air Force. He will be remembered as a hard worker, good provider and a devoted family man who loved his family.

Mr. Day is preceded in death by his first wife, Billie Faye Hooper Day; son, Terry Lee Day; parents, Lawyer & Minnie Day; sister, Carolyn Whitard; and grandparents, Ding Ding & Mammie.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Mary Marshall Day; two sons, Johnny Miles and Bubba Miles; four daughters, Tammy Day, Debbie Harris, Sheila Caudillo and Risa Rivers; two sisters, Lynn Wheeler & husband, Joe and Eloyce Davey; three grandchildren, Derek Thompson, Ethan Thompson and Brent Day; six great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Miles, Bubba Miles, Ethan Thompson, Derek Thompson, Scott Temple, Jimmy Fitch, Tito Caudillo and Chad Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Parks.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Paron Baptist Church from 4:00pm 7:00pm.
