Funeral services for Mr. Larry Joe White, age 78 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Farmerville Church of Christ with Bro. Chris Cook and Bro. Bart Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Taylor Cemetery, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Larry Joe White at 78 years old went home to be with the Lord on November 5th, 2025. He passed into glory from his home in Farmerville, La. surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Bernice, LA on July 4th, 1947 to Fred and Vivian White. Larry is survived by his high school sweet heart and wife of 57 years Judy Neal White, his daughters, Jana Ritzel (Bill Ritzel) and Susan Wood (Matt Wood), and grandchildren, Nolen Ritzel, Taylor Ritzel, and Lilli Wood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Vivian Reid White; and his brother, Carlton White (Betty). Larry was known in the Union Parish community as a servant of God who loved people by preaching, teaching and counseling those in need. He taught Bible classes and preached when needed at Haile, Wards Chapel and Farmerville Churches of Christ over his lifetime. But his first calling was to the Spanish speaking countries of the world. He along with his wife were missionaries in El Salvador and Guatemala for 10 years. When he returned to Farmerville, he was led to continue serving the Spanish speaking communities through a preacher/teacher training program called Spanish Missions. Many churches supported this work but Farmerville, Haile, Wards Chapel, and Jackson Street Churches of Christ were instrumental in its success. God has used this ministry to reach the lost all over the world. The members of Farmerville and Haile Churches of Christ were personally invested in this kingdom work as they helped stuff lessons and tapes into envelopes that were mailed out to thousands of students in the beginning. Later Spanish Missions transitioned to a website and is now part of World Bible School.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lanny Parker, Terry Ware, Bill Ritzel, Matt Wood, Chris Strickland, and Joe Preaus. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Neal, John Earl Albritton, Eddie Albritton, Ron Hudoba, David Williams, Brian Braxton, and David Duty.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carrie Perry, Amy Thomas, and Kenny Neal in helping Judy care for Larry. Appreciation also goes to Best Home Health and Passages Hospice.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, prior to the service, Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Farmerville Church of Christ.
