Mr. Larry Luvina Shaver, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Spearsville, Louisiana, on May 29, 2025, at the age of 79.

Born on July 25, 1945, in Conroe, Texas, Larry lived a life rich in music, craftsmanship, and deep-rooted love for his family. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Mt. Union Cemetery in Spearsville, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Larry dedicated many years of service to the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant in Minden, LA, before retiring in 1994. Beyond his professional work, he found great joy and expression through music, serving as the frontman for the Shreveport-based country band Cripple Creek for many years. His voice and presence brought people together and created lasting memories for those lucky enough to hear him perform.

Larry was a man of many passions—an avid bass fisherman, a skilled woodworker, and a devoted gardener. But above all, he cherished spending time with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. He was the heart of his family, a steady presence who brought joy, wisdom, and humor to every gathering.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie Shaver; his brother, Jerry Lewis Shaver; and his father-in-law, Robert House.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Sharon House Shaver; his mother-in-law, Bobbie House; daughters, Bridget Cassell (James) and Alexia Smith (Shannon); sons, Robert Edwards (Bonnie) and Trinity Edwards (Bridget); grandchildren, Jacob Cassell, Corby Smith (Annalies), Cade Smith, Caraline Smith, Tobie Goode, Lynzzi Henderson (David), Mason Edwards, Chase Edwards (Bridget), Connor Edwards, and Kennedy Edwards; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Shaver (Ruth); sisters, Shirley McCarty (Bobby), Lynda Williams (Gerald), and Brenda Smith; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.

Larry Shaver's legacy will live on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the music he shared, and the many lives he touched with his generous spirit and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
