Funeral services for Larry Hurst, 76, of Bernice will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Weldon Baptist Church with Bro. Harvey Hoffman and Bro. Jeff Hurst officiating. Interment will follow in Weldon cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Hurst went to his heavenly home on January 2, 2019. Mr. Hurst was a lifelong resident of Union Parish and a member of Weldon Baptist Church. Mr. Hurst was a Godly man who loved the Lord, loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was passionate about yardwork and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Hurst was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Paige Elkins.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Billie Francis Hurst; two sons, Jeff Hurst & wife, Mary and Keith Hurst & wife, Mary; one daughter, Debra Moring & husband, Gerald; six grandchildren, Justin Hurst (Brandy), Tyler Hurst, Bailee Hurst, Caleb Elkins (Brigette), Luke Moring (Heather) and Jacob Moring; four great grandchildren, Laney Hurst, Grace Elkins, Jace Cranford and Nealey Elkins; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.

Pallbearers are Justin Hurst, Tyler Hurst, Caleb Elkins, Luke Moring, Jacob Moring and Jace Cranford.

Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2018 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Weldon Baptist Church.
