Larry Lon Antley, age 70, of Downsville, Louisiana, passed away Friday May 13, 2016 in Farmerville, Louisiana. Larry was born in Point, Louisiana September 5, 1945. Larry retired from Bell South after 27 years after which he continued his career at Louisiana Tech where he retired after 19 years. Larry spent his lifetime in service to his family, community, and country including 8 years in the National Guard, 5 years on the Union Parish Library Board, and 2 year serving as President after organizing Downsville High School's first Booster Club. Larry followed his passion of fishing and operated Toledo Tackle in Farmerville for 5 years. In his free time he could be found on the lake fishing or coaching any of his 5 children's baseball/softball teams.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Hardy and Estelle Antley, sister Joan Leonard, brother James Antley, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria Pardue Antley. He is also survived by his 5 children: James "Todd" Antley of Point, Louisiana, Larry "Mark" Antley and fianc Bernadette Petterson of Farmerville, Louisiana, Matthew "Wade" Antley and wife Sharae Antley of British Colombia, Canada, Cassie Copeland and husband Craig Copeland of Frisco, Texas, and Joseph "Trevor" Antley of Provo, Utah; nine grandchildren: Jaron Antley, Taylor Antley, Brandi Antley, Tasia Antley, Hunter Antley, Lexi Antley, Riley Copeland, Kennedy Copeland, and Dawson Copeland, 3 brothers: Tommy Antley and wife Mary John, Kent Antley and wife Pat, David Antley and wife Sherri; 2 sisters: Madalyn Milan and husband Nestor, and Donna Antley, 3 aunts: Anne Sheffield, Sue Robertson and Merle Antley and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank those who showed such care and concern at Union General ER and Arbor Lake.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday May 16, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with the funeral service Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 2 PM followed by a burial at Ruggs Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wayne Antley, Tony Antley, Joel Antley, Michael Antley, David Wainwright, Gary Dell Pylant. Honorary pallbearers were Zachary Antley, Corey Antley, Earl Bearden, Terry Nance, Scott Dalrymple, Daniel Wainwright, Jaron Antley, and Tony Milan.
