Funeral services for Kevin Wayne Jester, age 58 of Laran, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, La with Bro. Buddy Boatright officiating. Interment will follow in Laran Cemetery in Laran, La under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Kevin was born in Merced, California October 18, 1963 to Bobby W. and Barbara B. Jester and was the oldest child of four. He passed away September 21, 2022, unexpectedly at his home.

Kevin was sentimental about his family, their heirlooms and family history. He learned from an early age how to build and repair all types of engines from his grandfather J.C and his Uncle Lane. He was a welder and worked in the construction business.

As Kevin's health declined, he wasn't able to accomplish these task that once he was able to complete. He became very committed to reading his Bible and was a very faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the last few years of his life.

Kevin is preceded in death by; his father Bob Jester, younger brother; Sean "PeWee" Jester and his grandparents; J.C and Vinola Bryant and Walker and Maggie Jester.

He leaves behind his mother, Barbara Jester of Laran, La, and two daughters; Lisa and Holly Jester, a son; Trevor Jester, 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren, a brother; Brian Jester and a sister; Kecia Riddle and many nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Brian Jester, Kenneth Ramsey, Dewayne Ramsey, Jonathan Day, Justin Ramsey and Cole Farrington.

Visitation was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home.
