A memorial service for Ms. Karen Joy Hancock, age 60 of Downsville, LA, will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Holmesville Baptist Church in Downsville, LA.

Ms. Karen Joy was a 1981 graduate of Downsville High School. She attended Louisiana Tech before she was called to serve as a missionary. Ms. Karen Joy served over 30 faithful years in Bolivia, South America, serving her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Ms. Karen Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Ochiltree Hancock and June Allen Hancock Lenard; and her two brothers, Greg Hancock and Danny Hancock.

She is survived by her brother, Brian Hancock (Jackie); sister, Carole Ann Tisdale; sister in law, Janice Hancock; eight nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nicolas Garcia and his mother, Martha.
