A memorial service for Ms. Julie Ann Burnside, age 74 of Farmerville, La, will be held at 2:00 PM, November 27, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro Jeff May officiating.

Ms. Julie was known to be very outspoken and would let you know what was on her mind. She was a kind and caring person, who would give you the shirt off her back. She was loved and will be dearly missed.

Ms. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Alice Roy Burnside; her husband, C.O. Brown; and her sister, Jeannie Bishop.

She is survived by her daughter, April Smith (Claude); five grandchildren, Brittany Matthews, Brandy Hocevar, Jordan Hocevar, Kevin Smith, and Charles Smith; five great grandchildren, Isabella Hinton, Isiah Stringfellow, Jarrell Smith, Nellie Smith, and Alexandra Smith; her son-in-law, Gene Mathews; two sisters, Laverne McNeese and Nena McNeese; and two brothers, Bobby Burnside and Ronald Burnside. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 2:00 PM, prior to the service.
