Graveside memorial service for Mrs. Judie Taylor Ouchley, age 81 of Princeton, TX, will be held at 10:00 AM, December 14, 2024 at Bernice City Cemetery, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ouchley was born January 15, 1943 in Marion, Louisiana and passed from this life on Sunday December 8, 2024 in Princeton, Texas following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Ouchley was a prominent realtor in Monroe, Louisiana for many years then moved to Dallas, Texas for 17 years where she was a McKesson. Inc affiliate alongside her husband. Later in life they moved to Jefferson, Texas and were the proprietors of the Jefferson Old Fashion Hamburger Store for 7 years. Mrs. Ouchley always had a keen business acumen and a steadfast belief in herself and Mr. Ouchley concerning their ability to be successful in whatever business venture they chose throughout their lives. These beliefs along with determination and hard work did, indeed, allow for success in multiple businesses throughout the years and led her to becoming a Century 21 Real Estate franchise owner in 1978 and to being the top-producing real estate broker for many years in the Monroe, Louisiana market.

Mrs. Ouchley is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 50 years Mr. Alton Trovey "Buck" Ouchley, her parents George W. "Buddy" Taylor and Dovie Hollis Taylor and her two beloved brothers Van Douglas "Doug" Taylor and Danny Mack Taylor.

She is survived by her four children: Christopher Trovey Ouchley, Julie Ouchley Testa (Sammy), Melanie Ouchley Athey (Mark), and Shannon Ouchley Culpepper (Jim). Grandchildren: Nicholas Testa, Sarah Testa, Victoria Testa, Laura Ouchley West, Stuart Culpepper, Anna Culpepper Chapman, Christa Culpepper Gordon, Taylor McCandlish and 9 great-grandchildren with 2 new additions on the way.

Mrs. Ouchley always had a passion for reading, especially cookbooks and loved dining out with family and friends. She loved classical music and anything by Elvis Presley and watching old movies. She also loved to travel and spend time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a very smart, savvy, headstrong, and unique "old soul" who will be greatly missed.
