Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Rhodes, age 81 of Marion, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 12, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Don Reeves and Bro. Aleck Nyegaard. Burial will follow in Dean Cemetery in Dean, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Juanita was a devoted and faithful wife married to Dewey Rhodes for 62 years. She was also a loving mother to all of her children and grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Dean Baptist Church where she attended until her health wouldn't let her. She also had a beautiful voice and loved gospel music.

She was foremost a wife, mother and homemaker, but loved to paint and enjoyed relaxing with her easel and oils and made many pictures that all her family will treasure. She also loved taking care of many varied plants, as noted by the wide array she had. Mrs. Juanita loved traveling every summer with her kids to wherever her husband was working, allowing them all to see different parts of the United States. Mrs. Juanita also worked several years in the Marion High School cafeteria. She was known by her family as one you could go to at any time to talk to about your problems. She always had an answer, maybe not what you wanted to hear, but always an answer to help you out. Mrs. Juanita will surely be missed by many, but we all know she is rejoicing in Heaven with her Savior, where we will join her again someday.

She is preceded in death by her parents Loyal Edward Patrick and Dovie Aline Aycock Patrick. Her siblings Ella Wees Woodell, Rebecca Morley, Kim Patrick, Stephanie Patrick, Joe Eddie Patrick, Cecil Patrick, Jimmie Patrick and Jessie Patrick., grandchildren Summer DeAnn Lum, Hope Rhodes and Richard "Spanky" Rhodes, also daughter in law Dixie Rhodes.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Dewey Rhodes, one daughter Terri Bostick Martinez(Lupe) three sons:  Dewey Rhodes Jr. "Jed" (JoAnn), Richard Rhodes "Monkey" (Vera), Ronald Rhodes "Frog" (Peggy) and grandchildren Dustin Rhodes (Kelsey), Kaitlyn Rhodes (Justin), Tyree Rhodes (Shannon), Logan Rhodes (Ira), and Lupe Martinez Jr, granddaughter in law Brooke Rhodes, sisters Rosa Turner, Beverly Patrick and Cecilia Patrick, five great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dusty Rhodes, Tyree Rhodes, Kelly Joe Patrick, Levi Pitts, Mikey Patrick and Danny Cain. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaitlyn Rhodes, Logan Rhodes and Trail Riders.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday, June 12, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home.
