Graveside services for Joyce Ann Lyles Johnston, 76, of Farmerville will be held at 3:00pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery near Downsville with Bro. Aleck Nyegaard officiating and under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Johnston was born on August 19, 1940 and passed away at her residence on May 27, 2017.

Joyce Ann worked in retail sales for many years in Ruston for Lewis & Co. until their closing and later for Frame Fashions in Farmerville. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed growing house plants and flowers. Joyce Ann was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred M. Johnston, Sr.; father, Howard E. Lyles, Sr.; mother, Minnie Parkman Lyles; step-mother, Opal Phillips Lyles; and brother, Howard E. Lyles, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons: Al Johnston & wife, Teressa and Matt Johnston; one sister, Janice Beasley Irby; one grandson, Casey Johnston; and many other relatives and friends.
