Funeral services for Ms. Joyce Ann Brown, age 85 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Whiteside officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Taylor cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Ms. Joyce was a Registered Nurse for the State Hospital in Jackson, LA. She retired after 26 years. She continued her administrative duties as a House Manager managing three buildings, 450 patients, 74 aides, and seven registered nurses. Ms. Joyce was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She was loving, kind, and compassionate, always giving of herself.

Ms. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Brown; sister, Sally Graham brothers, William Troy Strahan, James Strahan, Bowen H. Strahan, Lane Strahan, and Carl E. Strahan.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Strahan; sister-in-law, Sadie Scoggins Strahan; and numerous other family members.

Serving as pallbearers will be Art Strahan, Ron Strahan, Lynn Crowell, Ernie Phelps, Dennis Crawford, and Mark Harris.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, prior to the service at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home.
