Funeral services for Joyce Elaine Aden, age 74 of Bernice, La, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Bernice, La under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, La with Rev. Steve Barrett and Rev. Michael McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bernice.

Joyce had many places of employment over the years such as Garment factory, parquet flooring mill, hair dresser, jewelry store, optometry office, restaurant manager, chemical plant guard, store room manager, and nanny child care for many of her grandkids but best of all she was a mother and grandmother.

She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She fought a long and hard battle with heart problems and lung cancer but she never quit fighting it. Our most sincere thanks to Reeves Memorial Medical Center and Dr. Brian Harris, her nephew, who saved her in many battles. Special thanks to nurse Jessica who made her stay comfortable. The entire staff made the best of a bad situation.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Rand Aden, sons; Scott Aden and wife Melissa, Torren Aden and wife Kathie, daughter; Heather Maness and husband Bruce, sister; Patricia and husband Roddie Evans, brothers; Ronnie and wife Vicki Harris and Don Harris, eight grandchildren and 15 Great grandchildren, which she adored.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Willie M. and Margie Nutt Harris, sister; Carol McClure and Mary Faye "Cookie" Grant, brothers; Kent and Jimmy Harris.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Harris, Todd Harris, Jimmy Harris Jr., Eric Evans, Eric Bailey, and Mark Harris. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Brian Harris, Warren Harris, and Clark Canterbury.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 08, 2022, at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
