Brantley

Marion
Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Charlie Brantley will be held at 1:00 PM, January 05, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Reeves officiating. Interment will follow in Dean Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Mr. Joseph went to work early in life in the gas and oil fields locally. He headed to Odessa, Texas and continued working, finishing up as a superintendent and driller. Fishing and hunting in the Ouachita River were a favorite pastime with friends and family. You never knew what would come out of his mouth. Mr. Joseph was a jokester and a mischievous character with a tale to tell. He was definitely known as a tough man, never beating around the bush. In his later life he turned his life over to Christ and trusted and loved his savior.
Mr. Joseph is preceded in death by his wives Betty and Bonnie Brantley, his parents: Clarence O. and Emma S. Brantley, two brothers: James "Pate" Brantley and John Brantley, and two sisters: Mittie Fletcher and Jean Calderara.
He is survived by his daughter: Kathy Brantley Hill, one brother; Jerry Brantley, two sisters: Judy Smith and Doris Gilbert (Larry), grandchildren: John Hill, Charles Raymond Hill, Joanna Goodson, and Joseph Goodson, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, January 05, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home.
