Funeral services for Johnny M. Popwell, 66, of Farmerville will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, April 4, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville with Bro. Bob Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Popwell, a retired butcher, went to his heavenly home March 31, 2016. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Mr. Popwell started working at Don's Food's in Farmerville and retired from Mac's Fresh Market in West Monroe. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved turkey and deer hunting. He was a good brother to his siblings and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Russell & Daisy Popwell; grandparents, Mannie & Ida Cole and Oscar & Ava Popwell.

Left to cherish his memory is 1 brother Larry Popwell, Sr. & wife Brenda Popwell of Farmerville; 2 sisters, Kathy Popwell Groves & husband Daniel of Shreveport and Joyce Popwell Crawford & husband Larry of Dubach; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Shaun Popwell, Lance Popwell, Brian Groves, Clint Crawford, Larry Popwell, Jr., Chris Popwell and Chris George.

Visitation is from noon until time of the service at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
