Funeral services for Mr. John Edward Haye, age 89 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Crestview Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA with Bro. Wayne Whiteside officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

John was a graduate of Farmerville High School. He was born in 1935 and raised in Rocky Branch. Upon graduation he was employed with Commercial Solvents Chemical Plant in Sterlington, LA. After 37 years he retired as Supervisor in the Planning Division. John was asked to come back with Angus IMC as a consultant and retired again.

John was a member of Crestview Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. He thought of his classes as family whom he loved very much. He was a Gideon, devoted Christian, who attended church every Wednesday and Sunday unless sick. He raised his family with the same values. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising rabbits, and camping.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years: Polly Haye; son: Jerry Haye; parents: Elton and Ella Mae Moore Haye; and sisters: Peggy Tousineau and Bonnie Neese.

He is survived by his daughter: Venessa Chapman (Bimbo); grandchildren: Ashley Chapman Reeves and Casey Chapman (Ashley); great grandchildren: Victoria Alexander (Trevor), John Luke Alexander (Alexis), Madison Reeves (Michael), Olivia Chapman, Ava Chapman, Silas Chapman, and Jameson Chapman; great great grandchildren: Revlyn Corrent, Cooper Crow, and Ophelia Albritton; brother: Nicky Haye and special friend: Patsy Ann Reeves.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Tucker, Chris Satterwhite, Chris Haye, Mark Miller, Wade Miller, Bradley Smith, Fred Franklin, J.N. Williams, and Steve Auger.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Crestview Baptist Church.
