Funeral services for Technical Sgt. John A. Durfee, Sr., 76, of Spearsville will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, October 5, 2017 Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Walters officiating. Military interment will be held at 1:00pm in the Northeast LA Veteran's Cemetery, located at 2413 Hwy. 425, in Rayville, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Durfee went to his heavenly home on October 3, 2017. He was retired from the Air Force and was a member of Connect Point Church in Bernice, LA.

Preceding him in death were his parents: George & Anna Durfee; 1 brother, Jimmy Durfee; and 1 great granddaughter, Aubree Smith.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary H. Durfee of Spearsville; 2 sons: John Durfee. Jr. & wife, Minnie of Hattiesburg, MS and James Durfee & wife, Malissa of Ellisville, MS; 2 daughters: Rosanna Thompson & husband, Jason of Spearsvile and Samantha Durfee of Ovett, MS; 3 step-sons: John Thompson, Jr. & wife, Delorse of Spearsville, James Thompson & wife, Konnie of Bernice and Jimmy Thompson & wife, Patsy of Ellisville, MS; 1 step-daughter, Elsie Cottrell & husband, Jim of Spearsville; 1 brother, Richard Durfee of MA; 40 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Thompson, James Thompson, John Thompson, Jr., Johnny Smith, Jim Cottrell, and Wesley Coats.

Visitation will be 2-4pm Wednesday, Oct. 4th at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
