Memorial services for Joan Lowery Turnage, 70, of West Monroe, LA will beheld at 2:00pm, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Gateway Assembly of God in Sterlington, LA with Bro. Chris Moon and Bro. Barry Brister officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Turnage went to her heavenly home on December 4, 2017. Joan had a joy for life, was loving and always supportive of her family. She loved being a caregiver to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Larry Turnage; mothers, Mary Elizabeth Thomasson Lowery and Loretta Lowery; brother, Robert Lowery; and sister, Pam Dollar.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Bradley L. Turnage & wife, Amber and William V. Turnage & wife, Theresa, all of Farmerville, LA; one daughter, Jodie Moon & husband, Chris also of Farmerville; two brothers: Ralph Lowery & wife, Debbie of Mangham, LA and Phillip Dollar & wife, Casandra of Longview, TX; two sisters: Diane Hobson & husband, Tommy of Sterlington, LA and Debra Shipley & husband, James of West Monroe, LA; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Gateway Assembly of God in Sterlington, LA from 1:00pm 2:00pm. The church is located at 100 Boardman Avenue, Sterlington, LA. (off Hwy 165)
