Graveside services for Jimmy L. Traylor, 87, of Linville, La. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Liberty Cemetery in Linville, La. with Larry White officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville, La.

Mr. Traylor went to his heavenly home on Friday, July 3, 2020 in Greenville, South Carolina.

Mr. Traylor was a member of the Church of Christ.  He served as an Elder for 25 years at Haile Church of Christ.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Jimmy retired from Central American Life Insurance (Kilpatrick Insurance).  During his time there, he served as an Agent, working his way up to Manager, and ending as Vice President of Marketing after 24 years in the field.  He was known for his calm, mild mannered nature.  Mr. Traylor valued meeting people, talking to and making friends throughout his life.

Mr. Traylor was preceded in death by his parents, Lavelle & Wilma Crow Traylor.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Ella Starling Traylor; three children, Starlette Norris (Donovan), Sonya Wise (James) and Rodney Joe Traylor; five grandchildren, Jessica Fincher, Morgan Kelly, Brandon Dixon, Sara Broussard and Travis Traylor; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bettye Flowers (Dwain) and Shirley Traylor; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2020 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
