Funeral services for Jimmie L. Reid, 83, of Farmerville will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Farmerville with Bro. Kurt Auger and Bro. David Martin officiating. Burial will be in Ward Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Reid, a retired custodian, went to his heavenly home October 26, 2016. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of VFW outpost 5442, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmerville.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents: Dillard & Mattie Reid; 4 brothers: Everett, Pete, John, and Monroe; 4 sisters: Mary, Lurline, Pauline and Louise; and special nephew, Charles Reid.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years, Margaret Reid of Farmerville; 2 sons: Ernie R. Reid (Gwenda) of Rocky Branch and Jimmie Lee Reid, Jr. of Minden; 1 daughter, Marjorie Lynn Martin (Billy) of Farmerville; 6 grandchildren: David and Jonathan Martin, Kellie and Benjamin Reid, and Lindsey and Matthew Reid; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be members of VFW outpost 5442.

Visitation is 5-8pm Friday, October 28th at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
