Graveside services for Jim Pardue, 94, of Farmerville, La., will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Rocky Branch Cemetery with Bro. Adam Holloway and Bro. James Terral officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.  Due to COVID-19, the family asks for everyone attending to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Mr. Pardue was born in Cross Roads, La. on May 26, 1926 and passed away on December 6, 2020 at the age of 94.  Jim worked for Commercial Solvents/IMC and retired after 36 years of service.  He had a passion for Blue Grass music, and formed "Union Blue Grass Band", where he played in several states along with many other musicians.  Since the nineties, Mr. Jim would join various musicians at the Veteran's Home to entertain the residents and guests.  During the years of 1956~1972, he served the Rocky Branch community with a family owned country store, "Pardue's Grocery".  Jim served in the United States Army from 1944~1946, where he was stationed in France and Germany.

Mr. Pardue was an Elder at Rocky Branch Church of Christ.  Jim knew his journey here was near the end, stating with excitement in his eyes, that he wanted to go home.  He was a man of faith, honor, stability, strength and courage.

Mr. Pardue was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Wilma Pardue; parents, Forrest & Essell Pardue; brother, J.T. Pardue; and sister, Imma Rae Moss.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 21 years, Glynda Pardue; 4 children, Sharon Davidson & husband, Lester, Donna Chavers & husband, Terry, Edie Lemley and Jimmy Pardue & wife, LaDonna; 4 step-sons, Joe Bridges, Stan Bridges, Brent Bridges and Jason Bridges; 2 sisters, Patsy Reeves and Marie Nolan; 6 grandchildren, Kammela Dodson, Mark Bryan, Maranda Stewart, Melissa Seffens, Eric Pardue and Audrey Ewing; 6 great-grandchildren, Cole Bryan, Chandler Gilbert, Ben Stewart, Lemley Ewing, Helen Ewing and John L. Ewing; multiple step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
