A memorial service for Jeffrey Lane Bettell, 56, of Bernice, LA, will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021, 11:00 AM at Rock Corner Church (824 Rock Corner Road) in Dubach, LA with Bro. Greg Morrow and Bro. Larry Bullock officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Bernice, LA at a later date.

Mr. Jeffrey Bettell passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at home after a lengthy illness. Jeff was born on September 13, 1964 to Jerry and Linda Bettell in Phoenixville, PA. He attended Choudrant High School. After that, he later worked at Louisiana Tech in Food Service at Wilson Cafeteria. For a short while, he owned a taxicab service in El Dorado, AR. Jeff was well known in the Evergreen community for always checking on neighbors and friends, especially after storms. He would ride around and inform neighbors of surrounding road closures. He loved his mother dearly and would stay with her often. One of his favorite past times was visiting friends at the Farmerville Huddle House. He will be dearly missed by all.

Mr. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his wife, Cathy, his father, Jerry Bettell, and his sister, Kahney Lindsey of Camden, AR.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Bettell, sister, Paula Rose (Jimmy), nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
