Graveside services for Jean Cole, 73, of Ruston, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Mt. Ararat cemetery with Bro. Dale Oden officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Mrs. Cole went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Mrs. Cole was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from the Guide plant, in Monroe, La., after 30 years. She loved sports, from playing herself in high school to watching her grandchildren play in recent years. She truly loved her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Justine Roberts Collingsworth; one sister, Judy Laird; two infant nephews; father and mother-in-law, Ed & Dorline Cole; one sister-in-law, Cheryl Cole; and infant brother-in-law.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Ronnie Cole; two daughters, Julie McDowell & husband, Allen and Jody Jones & husband, Brad; four grandchildren, Jordan Jones, Ethan McDowell, Braden Jones and Briley Jones; one sister, JoAnn Bosworth & husband, Joe; one brother, J.B. Collingsworth & wife, Shugie; one brother-in-law, Roger Laird; two sisters-in-law, Belinda Flowers and Donna Cole; nieces and nephews, Leslie Bosworth, Lindy Bosworth, Jared Laird, Mary Margaret West, Rob Collingsworth and Wes Collingsworth; and a host of other family and friends.
Mrs. Cole's sons-in-law and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Cole's family would like to extend a special thank you to her sitters, Wanda, Katrina, DeJa, Aisha, Ashonti, Sandra, Nancy and Compassus Hospice.
