Funeral services for Mrs. Janet Farrar Reeves, age 61of Bernice LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 1, 2025 at Evergreen Baptist Church in Bernice with Bro. Daniel Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Janet lived a wonderful life as a wife, mother, nana and dog mom. She was an immaculate housekeeper. She enjoyed shopping, watching her favorite shows, talking on the phone and sitting on her back porch watching her hummingbirds. Her family and dogs were her whole world. She will be missed dearly.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Ursula Farrar.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Larry Reeves; daughter, Melody Spencer (Sean); four granddaughters, Ashlyn Byrnes, Allyson Byrnes, Shelby Spencer, and Melanie Spencer; three brothers, Jimmy, Harold, and Scott Farrar; a number of nieces and nephews; and two beloved pets, Chloe and Emmy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sean Spencer, Collin Turnbow, Chris Snell, Jeff Funderburk, Dale Dumas, and Jacob Farrar. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Puckett and Matthew Reeves.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Evergreen Baptist Church.
