James Riley McAdams passed away on September 4, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana, at the age of 70. He was born on July 13, 1954, in Laran, Louisiana.
Riley was a devoted employee at Amercable, where he dedicated many years of service. Known for his loving, hardworking nature, and deep faith, Riley was an active member of Camp Creek Baptist Church in Spearsville, Louisiana.
He had a passion for fishing and cherished time spent playing with his grandchildren. These simple pleasures brought great joy to his life and to those around him.
Riley leaves behind his wife, Kathy; daughter, Rachel Finklea and her husband, Dacota; son, Clint McAdams and his wife, Stacey; grandchildren, Amelia, Carter, and Abigail; brothers, Bobby and wife Deborah, Joey and wife Shelia, Kenneth and wife Amy, Ernest, Larry and wife Lisa, and Scott and wife Ann; sister, Valerie, and several beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Imogene and Flavil McAdams, sister Mary Ellen and husband Ronnie Nix, brother-in-law Kent Elkins, sister-in-law Caroline McAdams.
Visitation will be held on September 8, 2024, from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at Camp Creek Baptist Church, where the funeral service will also take place on September 9, 2024, at 10:00 am. Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, Louisiana, is assisting the family during this time. Riley's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
