Funeral services for James "Bo" Hicks, 73, of Downsville will be held at 10:00am, Saturday,
August 27, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Downsville Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Hicks, a retired logger, went to his heavenly home on August 25, 2016. He was a member of Pineywoods Christian Church. Mr. Hicks was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish. He had a gift of gab and was a friend to many. He spent most of his life working in the logging industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James David Hicks and Sybil Delilah Mauldin; and sister, Virginia Tedeton.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Mary Jane Hicks of Downsville; three sons, BoBo & Tonya Hicks of Downsville, Todd & Donna Hicks of Downsville and D.J. & Megan Hicks of Calhoun; one daughter, Kim Jones of Downsville; ten grandchildren, Kenneth & Leanna Hicks, Josh & Jenny Hicks, Jeremy Hicks, Kyle Hicks & fianc, Beth Ann Ball, Kade Hicks, Kason Hicks, Hunter Jones, Colin Hicks, Ashlynn Hicks and Jessie Marie Jones & fianc, Devin Blackman; two great-grandchildren, Cash Hicks & Sydney Hicks; one nephew, Kevin Tedeton; and numerous friends.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hicks, Josh Hicks, Jeremy Hicks, Kyle Hicks, Kade Hicks, Kason Hicks and Hunter Jones.

Honorary pallbearer will be Colin Hicks.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 26, 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville.
