A graveside service for Mr. James E. "Jim" Cruse, 75, of Bernice, La., will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, 10:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Bernice, La. with Bro. J.L. Williams officiating the service. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La.

Mr. James Cruse passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. James was a caring brother and uncle. He was a simple man, and he enjoyed life. Early in life, he worked for Claiborne Electric Company as a lineman. He loved to hunt, fish, and be outdoors. James was loved and will be missed by many.

Mr. James is preceded in death by: his parents, Earl and Eula B. Smith Cruse; his brothers, Lee "Sonny" Cruse, Charles Cruse, and Eugene Cruse; his sisters, Reacy McNeese, Mary Walker, and Carolyn Marks.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his siblings, Pete and Melba Cruse of Marthaville, La., Stanley Cruse of Bernice, La., Billy Joe Cruse of Bernice, La., Sharon McDaniel of Shongaloo, La., and Dwana Hunnicutt of Missouri City, Tx.; along with numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great; his dog, Dixie; and other family members and friends.

Pallbearers for the service will be: John Wortham, George Upshaw, Bryan Upshaw, Randell Cruse, Donald Cruse, Lonnie Smith, and Stacy Cruse.
