Funeral services for Jackie Wayne Platt, of West Monroe, formerly of Marion, will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Cole and Chaplain Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Platt Cemetery, near Marion, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Platt, 67, went to his heavenly home August 18, 2017. Jackie was a retired truck driver and attended Spencer Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of D.A.V. and V.F.W.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Platt; parents, Arthur and Ophelia Platt; great-granddaughter, Elyssa Hope Reynolds; niece, Sylvia Glover; and great-niece, Jennifer Smith.

Left to cherish his memory is one son, Steven Cook & wife, Cherri of West Monroe; two daughters, Angela Platt of Monroe and Michelle Platt of West Monroe; two brothers, Billy Platt of Marion and James Platt of Virginia; four sisters, Clara Perkins & husband, Fennie of Farmerville, Faye Osborne & husband, Henry of Marion, Sarah Canales & husband, Lionel of Farmerville and Vicki Cole of Farmerville; five grandchildren, Summer Platt, Josh Reynolds, Dylan Reynolds, Nick Millien and Braydon Cook; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Josh Reynolds, Dylan Reynolds, Adam Smith, Charlie Smith, Rodger Canales, Ryan Canales, Henry Osborne and Lionel Canales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Holbrook, Terrance Burke, Greg Cook, Parker Haile and Stacy Reynolds.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 9:00am until time of service at Farrar Funeral Home.
