Funeral services for Mr. Jack Ferrel Taylor, age 96 of Spearsville, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsville, LA with Bro. Tommy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Jack graduated from Spearsville High School and was a US Army Veteran in the South Pacific, serving in the battle of Okinawa. He was a Lineman with Arkansas Power and Light and retired from SWEPCO with over 40 years of service. Mr. Jack was a mechanic and could fix anything on a car. He was a Business Agent with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Mr. Jack loved to hunt and fish and was a member of Antioch Church of Christ.

Mr. Jack was preceded in death by his wives: Sarah Murphy Taylor and Maxine Black Taylor, his parents: James Ellis and Ruby Hall Taylor, two brothers: Benny and Jerry Taylor, and his grandson: Shane Canterberry.

He is survived by his daughter: Karen Canterberry, two sons: Ferrel Taylor (Gina), and Marty Taylor, one sister: Ouida Canterberry, and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandhchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Taylor, Phillip Geiggar, Robert Eudy, Jake Taylor, Nick Charles, and Marcus Nunsett.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service, Friday, June 2, 2023 at Antioch Church of Christ.
