Funeral services for Iro R. Baker, 91, of Farmerville will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Interment will follow in Conway Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Baker passed away on February 25, 2019. Mr. Baker was a resident of Union Parish and a member of Farmerville First Baptist Church. Iro started working at the age of 17 at Western Auto in Farmerville, retiring with over 60 years of service. He was a lifelong, loyal Chicago Cubs fan. Mr. Baker planted one of the first Christmas tree farms in Louisiana and was honored to have one of his trees placed in the Governor's mansion. He loved going to the Farmerville Drug Store enjoying coffee and visiting most everyday with his many friends.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Elaine Cole Baker; parents, Lonnie B. & Elizabeth Lowery Baker; sister, Oma Ebenkamp; and brother, Roy Baker.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Debbie Arrant; granddaughter, Stephanie Bennett Elias (Jeremy); two great grandchildren, Anna Grace and Hayden Elias; special family friend, Nancy Hauser; special family grandchildren, Shannon Boyce (Jennifer) and Haley Rodrigues (Mark); and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ken Cooper, Jimmy Odom, Butch Gandy, Jeremy Elias, Shannon Boyce and Mark Rodrigues.

Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Taylor and Kelly Taylor.

Visitation will be from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
