A funeral service for both Imogene "Jean" Caldarera and her husband, Bernard "Mickey" Caldarera, will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Dean Baptist Church in Marion, La. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Dean Baptist Church in Marion, La. prior to the funeral service.
Imogene "Jean" Caldarera of Atkins, Ar. went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was born August 2, 1944 in Marion, La. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her family and her dog, Prissy very much. She loved flowers and she loved to spend time with her family, fish, and cook for everyone. Jean worked in the restaurant industry most of her life from waitressing, to managing, to owning several restaurants.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Caldarera; son, Ted Sims; parents, Clarence and Emma Brantley; sister, Mittie Fletcher; and brothers, John Brantley and James "Pete" Brantley.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Robin Gordy (Chris); step-son, Scott Caldarera; brothers, Jerry Brantley and Joseph "Cane" Brantley (Bonnie); sisters, Judy Smith and Doris Gilbert (Larry); granddaughters, Megan Tullis (Lee) and Corrie Sparks; grandsons, Noah Gordy (Savanna) and Nicholas Gordy; great-granddaughter, Emory Tullis; great-grandson, Kurt Gordy; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Gordy, Noah Gordy, Lee Tullis, Shane Smith, Jerry Brantley, and Roger Baker.
Memorials can be made to Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana.
