A funeral service for Mr. Herbert Dale Dollar, 78, of Marion, La., will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Linville, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La.

Mr. Herbert Dale Dollar was born April 14, 1944 and passed away May 20, 2022. He was born to William and Doris Dollar in Linville, La. and was a native of Union Parish. Herbert worked for Piccadilly for over forty years, having worked in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Arizona. When Herbert first went to work with Piccadilly in 1962, he started out as an entry level worker but retired as Manager in 2002. Herbert had a passion for helping people who needed an automobile mechanic and he was also known for loving to play the guitar and the pedal steel. Herbert was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Herbert was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Cheryl Ann Peterson Dollar; parents, William Jennings and Doris Lillie Johnson Dollar; and two brothers, Tommy J. Dollar and William Gale Dollar.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Michael Dale Dollar; two sisters, Margaret Dianne Dollar and Janice Trichell; one brother, Johnny E. Dollar; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Michael Dale Dollar, Bryan Perkins, Bill Thurston, Virgil Brantley, DeShaun Barnes, and Michael E. Dollar.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Steven Unkel and his staff for the continued care for Mr. Herbert throughout these years.
