Funeral services for Ms. Helen Thomas Ramsey, age 102 of Spearsville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Laran. Bro. Dewayne Ramsey and Bro. Richard Methvin will be officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Spearsville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Ms. Helen enjoyed quilting, sewing, and working in her garden and flowerbeds. She loved to cook and being a caregiver for her family. Ms. Helen worked at the Garment Factory in Bernice and retired from Union Parish School Board as a cafeteria worker.

Ms. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Ramsey; parents, Willie and Odessa Thomas; daughter, Lynette Ramsey; son in law, Junior Ramsey; brothers, Chester Thomas, Billy Thomas, Travis Thomas, and Austin Thomas; and her three sisters, Christine Campbell, Melba Dumas, Janelle Snyder.

She is survived by her son, Bill Cranford and wife Charlotte; sisters, Julie Ann Harbour and husband Charles and Lucille Cottrell; grandchildren, Keith Ramsey and wife Tilly, Kenneth Ramsey and wife Chantay, Dewayne Ramsey and wife Tammy, Donna Banks and husband Randy, Shane Cranford, Brent Cranford, and Candace Elliott; 20 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Ramsey, Kenneth Ramsey, Dewayne Ramsey, Randy Banks, Shane Cranford, and Brent Cranford.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Laran.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Arbor Lake and Passages Hospice for the care they showed Ms. Helen.
