Funeral services for Golden Joseph Gautreaux, Jr., 86 of Downsville, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Point Assembly of God with Tim Gautreaux officiating and Louis Bartet reading the eulogy. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Farmerville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Point Assembly of God.

Golden was born on January 9,1940 in Houma, Louisiana and passed away on April 4, 2026 in Downsville, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Judith Theresa Gautreaux; daughter Cynthia Marie Gautreaux; parents Golden "Chuck" Gautreaux, Sr .and Rosadell Chaisson Gautreaux; Sister Francis Gautreaux Authement; brothers Robert, Simon, Roland, Camille, Ruben, Hayes, Howard, Michael and Murphy Gautreaux.

Golden is survived by five children; Lynette G Hodge (Wendell) Craig Gautreaux (Junie),Timothy Gautreaux (Tommie) Steven Gautreaux and Rachel G Smith; Eight grandchildren, Cassidy Ann Hodge, Tim Gautreaux(Clair) Caleb Gautreaux (Sophie) Morgan H Lusby (Trey), CeJay Gautreaux (Emily), Micah Gautreaux (Taylor), Leo Golden Gautreaux, Eli Nicholas Gautreaux, Bry-Anna Smith, Gracen Smith; 15 great-grandchildren, Marly Ann Hodge, Royce Donice Reich, Penny, Lettie, Gwen, and Rae-Rae Gautreaux, Lucah and Delanie Gautreaux, Violet and Fitz Gautreaux; Noah, Benni and Olson Gautreaux, Gavin, Norah Ann and Beckham Lusby.
