Funeral services for Gloria Nell Odom Williams, age 87 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Allred officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Nell was a 1956 graduate of Farmerville High School. After graduation, she attended Louisiana Tech for elementary education receiving her Bachelor's degree in 1959 and Masters Degree in 1963. Nell taught elementary school at Downsville for 20 years and also taught at Haynesville Elementary School. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma teaching sorority. Nell was an active and life long member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, serving as the church Clerk for over 60 years. Nell was also over Zion Hill Cemetery for over 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Tommy Williams; son, Donald Keith Williams; parents, Alton and Linnie Williams Odom; her fiancé and companion, Tandy Key; and her step father, Radford Ward.

She is survived by her son, Robert Williams and wife Rhonda; two grandsons, Morgan Williams and Blake Williams; sister, Elizabeth Ann Odom Long and husband Larry; two nieces, Deanna Long Milstead and husband Mark and Linda Long Pardue and husband Troy; step sister, Brenda Ward Kenner; step brother, Alvis Ward; and a host of great and great great nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Wainwright, Sonny Moon, Mark Taylor, John Crow, Scotty Key, and Troy Pardue. Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Compton, Brent Compton, Rex Cobb, and Randy Rhodes.

The family would like to thank the staff at Union General Hospital, Dr. Venters, Elara Caring Home Health, Arbor Lake, and her caregiver Charlotte Brown for caring for her during this time.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home.
