Glen Harper,
Jr.
Jan 9, 1966 — Oct 24, 2022
Rayville
Glen "Rusty" Harper, Jr. was born January 09, 1966 and the Lord called him home October 24, 2022, after a 7-year battle with leukemia. In the past years he had a pretty rough go, from the loss of his mother, to having to reside in a nursing home at the age of 49. Even so, he never complained, always made the best of it, and put a "silver lining" on his circumstances. Rusty helped many residents because he was a lot younger than most of them. At times, some had trouble just getting down the hall and Rusty, with his helping hands and servant heart, assisted them.
Rusty dearly missed his mother and would often share his dreams to his family about her. It was encouraging to see him have such a great outlook. Rusty loved a lot of people and lived life as hard as he could. He is now with his mom, but he will be missed every day.
Rusty is preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Pratt and his father David Harper, Sr.
Those left to mourn him are his son Kenny Harper, his grandchildren, as well as his brother Steele Nugent and wife Lana, his daddy Lawrence Nugent, and his cousin Kenny Harper, as well as many other friends and family.
The family encourages his friends to gather with them at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 3501 La 828 Farmerville, for a short committal at 1:00PM Saturday, November 19, 2022. Following the committal, a memorial celebration of life service will be held at the Lake D'Arbonne Country Club Banquet Room, 180 Country Club Road in Farmerville, LA.
