Geraldine (Gerrie) A. Padgett of Farmerville, LA, passed away on July 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on August 26, 1946, in Wichita, KS, to G. Truman Tucker and Kathleen (Klaus) Tucker.

Gerrie attended Holy Family Elementary School in Seattle and St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary, Mt. Carmel Academy, and Sacred Heart College, all in Wichita. She earned her bachelor's degree as a Medical Technologist and was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Farmerville.

In 1971, Gerrie married her beloved husband, Gary. Together, they moved 29 times from coast to coast, making lasting memories and friendships along the way. They shared four children: Michelle Padgett of Leawood, KS; Kimberly (Rogelio) Gonzalez of San Benito, TX; Drew (Nikki) Padgett of Alexandria, VA; and Scott (Roberta) Jehle of Rose Hill, KS.

Gerrie is survived by her husband Gary (of the home), her children, and her siblings Regina Tucker, Greg Tucker, and Thom (Marci) Tucker, all of Wichita, as well as brother-in-law Bruce Padgett of Farmerville.  She leaves behind 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Gerrie will be remembered as a loving and faith-filled person who cherished reading, sewing, shopping, and capturing the beauty of special moments and nature through photography.

Funeral services will take place on July 8, 2025, at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Farmerville, with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Zion Hill in Farmerville.
