Mr. Fred Rodgers, "FatBoy" found his Ultimate Healing in our sweet, Jesus Monday, July 29, 2024.  He was born November 17, 1943 to Henry Carlton Rodgers & Minnie Alice Rodgers, as a surprise in Bernice, La, along with his twin brother.  With his siblings, they found plenty to do. Making toys, being a top-of-the-line mechanic, hunting, fishing, and cuttin' up!  He met the love of his life, Carol Ann Thomas, at the age of 16. They married and had two beautiful children, Cherryl and Lee. Fred worked for RC Cola, in the oilfield & eventually found his passion in logging. He worked many years, so hard, in the woods.  He enjoyed playing dominoes with friends, training labs, making many trips to Truxno, hunting, fishing and always putting his family first. He loved his family, friends and his BEST FRIEND, Pereaux, so, so much. He loved teaching his children and grandchildren about the great outdoors. Fred was welcomed home by his mother, father & 6 siblings.  He was surrounded with so much love by his family & friends in the last few days. For that, we are forever thankful.  Fred loved The Lord. One of the last things he shared with the family and what we want to share with you, is to always thank the Lord for everything. When you wake up in the morning, thank the Lord. Throughout the day, thank the Lord. And before you go to bed, thank the Lord. Fred is loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Carl "Big Daddy" and Minnie "Big Mama" Ellington Rodgers; three sisters, Gloria Gandy, Claudine Rodgers, and Clydus Jerry; and three brothers, Carlton Rodgers, Jr., Bobby Rodgers, and twin brother, Teddy D. Rodgers.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol Ann Rodgers; daughter, Cherryl R. Johnson and husband Charlie, Jr.; son, Freddy Lee Rodgers II and wife Carla; five grandchildren, William "Banjo" Johnson, Amber Jade Savallo (Ryan), Jordan Lea Rodgers, Tanner Rodgers (Olivia), and Mason Cole Rodgers; 13 great grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Wayne Rodgers and wife Jane, Henry "Poley" Rodgers and wife Wendy, and Jackie Rodgers and wife Brenda; and his riding partner, Pereaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be, William "Banjo" Johnson, Tanner Rodgers, Mason Rodgers, Teddy Rodgers, Dwain Rodgers, and Ryan Savallo. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Andy Curry, Robin Albritton, Butch Gandy.
