Freddie Gale
Gamble
Apr 4, 1948 — May 2, 2025
Farmerville
Our hearts are heavy as we remember a man who meant so much to so many –
Fred was born in Yuba City, California. He and Donna were married in 1966 and were a beautiful team for 58 years – together, they served the church with quiet strength, deep hospitality and lots of love. They had a home where everyone felt comfortable and welcome. They spent 37 years in Auburn, California where Fred was a highly respected entrepreneur known for his honesty and integrity. But his greatest joy was in serving the Lord. He was instrumental in establishing the Church of Christ in Auburn in 1977. He was a leader there for many years before serving as an elder for 10 years. In 2014, he retired, and they relocated to Louisiana. Although he struggled with his health, he found great joy being a part of the Park Church of Christ family and Hispanic work. He fell in love with the people and loved them deeply.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph Clark and Lillie Mae Hamilton Gamble; three brothers: Eddie Dale Gamble, Virgil Gamble (Dotti), and Jimmie Reese; sisters: Hazel Burchfield (Harland) and Jean Ramos; and his brothers in law: John Tucker and Alan Owen.
He is survived by his loving wife: Donna; daughters: Krista and husband Matt, and Hollie and husband Rich; three grandkids he adored: Garrett Lee, Karli Hayes, and Jayce Lee; and his honorary grandkids: Morgan Alexander and Mallory Jameson.
Were grateful for his life, his love, and the example he leaves behind.
