Funeral services for Forrest Rex Hayes, 85, of Farmerville will be held at 10:00am, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J.E. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill-Taylor cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Hayes went to his heavenly home on August 28, 2018. Mr. Hayes was a lifelong resident of Farmerville and a member of Farmerville First Assembly of God Church. Rex was a self-employed Brick Mason. Earlier in his life, he loved to coach baseball. Mr. Hayes was very devoted to his wife, Mrs. Wanda, during their life together, especially the latter years when she was ill. He loved his Lord and was faithful to his daily Bible study. Rex cared and loved his children and all of his grandchildren.

Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Wanda Odom Hayes; four brothers; and three sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are three sons, Steven Hayes, Sr. & wife, Cheryl, Ricky Hayes & wife, Mary and David Hayes & wife, Tammy; three daughters, Sandra DeCelle & husband, Darryl, Marianne Kinnison & husband, Chuck and Karen Hayes; sixteen grandchildren, Steve Hayes, Jr. & wife, Sheila, Chad Hayes, Heath Hayes & wife, McCade, Michael Hayes & wife, Julie, Erin Ludwig & husband, Mitch, Alicia Craighead, Crissy Castle & husband, Oliver, Stephanie Spain & husband, Stephen, Crystal Matte & husband, Brad, Amanda Halley & husband, Jacob, Brandi Hinton & husband, Steven, Kelcey DeCelle, Chase Kinnison & wife, Anna, Collin Kinnison & girlfriend, Mandi Gates, Bradley Patrick & wife, Ashtin and Brittany Williams & husband, Dylan; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Steve Hayes, Jr., Chad Hayes, Heath Hayes, Michael Hayes, Chase Kinnison, Collin Kinnison and Bradley Patrick.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
