Funeral services for Nell Odom Leggett, 89, of Farmerville will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant, La., with Bro. Dwayne Monk and Bro. Wilton Wall officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Mrs. Leggett went to her heavenly home on March 13, 2020. Mrs. Leggett was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant, La. Mrs. Leggett served as President of WMU for 30 years. Mrs. Nell was a homemaker and she loved working outdoors with her flowers, fishing in her ponds, camping with her husband and later going on senior trips. She loved spending time with her grands, great-grands, and her dog, Peewee. Mrs. Leggett and her husband were owners and operators of Leggett's Store for 31 years.
Mrs. Leggett was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Wexler Leggett; parents, Horace & Sallie Holly Odom; sister, Lou Dean Dupuis; and sister-in-law, Nola Faye Leggett Norris.
Left to cherish her memory are sons, Woody Leggett & wife, Sandra and Jimmy Leggett & wife, Tammy; daughter, Becky Dugdale & husband, Duane; grandchildren, Amanda Barrett (Jason), Chad Leggett (Brandy), Jason Owen (April), Lenae Bell (Shane), Leslie Thomas (Bubba), Cade Leggett (Annie), Molly Dugdale, Hunter Dugdale, Dusty Dugdale, Danielle Rist and Raylyn Manning; sixteen great-grandchildren, Avery Barrett, Allie Barrett, Judd Dutton, Aubrey Leggett, Lane Owen, Landrie Owen, Emma Bell, Alyssa Bell, Holland Thomas, Harper Thomas, Colston Thomas, Makenley Leggett, Lilley Leggett, Lawson Leggett, Kolton McDonald and Tate Dugdale; sister, Robbie Lipe (Dick); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chad Leggett, Jason Owen, Cade Leggett, Jason Barrett, Shane Bell and Bubba Thomas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church.
