Evelyn Theresa Brauer Schultz, 64, U.S. Navy Veteran, member of Antioch Baptist Church, member of Ikebana International (Friendship through Flowers)

Evelyn Theresa Brauer Schultz passed on to be with our faithful Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 21st, 2017 at the age of 64. Evelyn was the beloved, best friend and loving wife of Johnny Lawrence Schultz whom she had shared her life with for 33 years. Evelyn and Johnny had resided in Farmerville, LA since 2013; however, they formerly shared their lives together on active duty in the United States Navy at various duty stations around the world. Evelyn retired from the Navy after 22 years as a Senior Chief Data Processor in 1992. Evelyn was active in her church, cherished the company of her many friends and relatives and was an avid turtle collector. She also enjoyed bowling and was especially fond of the loving time she spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Evelyn was born October 18th, 1952 in Abington, PA but spent most of her childhood life in Jamison, PA. She was preceded in death by her father, George W. Brauer, Jr. and two brothers, James E. Brauer and baby John Brauer.

Evelyn leaves behind, for a time, her loving mother, Geraldine M. Brauer of PA and her beloved husband, Johnny L. Schultz (CAPT USN Ret) of Farmerville, LA; two sons, Johnny L. Schultz, Jr. (Wenona) of Woodbridge, VA and Matthew J. Schultz of Bartlett, TN; two daughters, Cassie L. Anthony (Justin) of Omaha, NE; and Jennifer T. Blair (Ross) of Bartlett, TN; six brothers, George W. Brauer III of PA, Harry S. Brauer (Georgia) of PA, Charles M. Brauer (June) of PA, William R. Brauer of PA, David A. Brauer (Beth) of PA, and Robert S. Brauer (Stefanie) of PA; two sisters, Florence M. Grasley (Sheldon) of PA and Jean L. Herstine of PA. Evelyn was "Mamaw" to 13 grandchildren, Gordon, Diallo, Soleil, Caroline, Sebastien, Blake, Jesse, Colin, Ariel, Alana, Hazel, Lucas, and Rubin.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 27th, 2017 from noon until 1:00pm at Antioch Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. A celebration of life service will be held following visitation with Brother Ruben Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00pm at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Pallbearers will be Evelyn's brothers, George W. Brauer III, Harry S. Brauer, Sheldon W. Grasley, Charles M. Brauer, William R. Brauer, David A. Brauer, and Robert S. Brauer.
