Graveside services for Emily Lee McCartney, 83, of Sterlington will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Crowville Masonic Cemetery, in Crowville, La., with Bro. Kurt Auger officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. McCartney went to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 9, 2020 in Alexandria, La.  Mrs. McCartney was a member of Paron Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly.  She had a special love for children, and kept all of the children in the community at one time or another.  Mrs. McCartney was a great sister, friend and mother.

Mrs. McCartney was preceded in death by her husband, John McCartney; two daughters, Ruby Nell Ambrose and Peggy Cupp; and parents, Leonard & Estella Snell.

Left to cherish her memory are her two brothers, Clifton Snell and Gary Snell (Linda); three sisters, Helen Cash (Kenneth), Betty Perot (George) and Ernestine Benson; two daughters, Betty Lou Johnson and Mary Ann Johnson; dear friends who took care of her needs, Linda Johnson and Mertie; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
