Funeral services for Dusty Joe Dison, age 54 of Farmerville, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 3, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Canterberry and Bro. Richard Methvin officiating. Interment will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery in Spearsville, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Dusty attended high school at Farmerville High School, then later attended Northwest Arkansas Community College, and received his Associates Degree as a Mechanic from Farmerville Votech in 1992. He began his career as an auto technician in 1992. Dustys love for cars started when he was just 9 years old working on them with his grandfather. He worked for Jimmy Taylor Chevrolet in Rayville, LA and Preaus Motor Company in Farmerville, LA. No matter where Dusty was or what he was doing, he was always fixing vehicles for his friends and customers whenever they needed him. He finished up his career with Chances Auto Service and will be dearly missed in the auto mechanic industry. Dusty loved his family and all his boys and girls. It never mattered how busy he was, he always made time to help them.

Dusty was preceded in death by his father, Joe Dison; maternal grandparents, Arley and Linnie Mae Sharpe Skains; paternal grandparents, D.E. and Willie Mae Dison Thurman.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Canterberry Dison; daughter, Whitney Dison Frey (Heath); daughters in love, Holly Odom Wise (Daniel) and Kayla Odom Williams (Dean); mother, Judy Skains Dison; sister, Rhonda Vahle; brother, Billy Joe Dison; bonus mother, Kay Dison; grandchildren, Zoey Belle Frey, Myra Williams, and Allie and Carsyn Rogilio; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Braxton Reeveas, Fisher Barkley, Dominick Ballez, Mickey Wayne Skains, Ben Thurmon, and Brian Nyegaard. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Wallace and Earl "woo woo" Timmons.

Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM, prior to the service, Friday, July 3, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home.
