A memorial service for Mrs. Dorris Renne Ramsey, age 70 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM January 13, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dorris was always caring about the need of the least among God's creatures, cats and dogs who were abandoned or lost along the way. Her cat Woody and dogs, Missy and Reaux were her latest pets. She was always in touch with those who needed assistance and was known for her caring care. She managed the Red Roof Tabacco store in Farmerville and Dollar General in Bernice in her past years. Mrs. Dorris was a master gardener and was associated with clubs in Ruston and Farmerville.

Mrs. Dorris is preceded in death by her parents: Clete Platt and Dorris Hudson Platt and two brothers: June "Joe" Platt and Wayne Platt.

She is survived by her husband of over 25 years, Geanie Ray Ramsey and two nephews: Eric and Jay Platt.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 Pm until the time of service, January 13, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home.

Donations can be made to the Union Parish Humane Society in honor of Mrs. Dorris.
