Funeral services for Dorothy Gayle Haley, age 78 of Downsville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 22, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Downsville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Dorothy was a devoted wife for 62 years and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was affectionately known as Mama Dot by special friends. She was the sweetest and most giving person. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, painting, and dabbling in other crafts. She crocheted and quilted blankets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling in their RV, car racing, Atlanta Braves Baseball, classic cars and trucks, and her corvettes. Dorothy retired from Riverwood after 32 years in 2000. She worked for Haleys Air Conditioning from 1984 until 2008 when her and Bobby both retired.

Dorohty was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ethel Richardson Morris; two sisters, Veta Thomas and Patrcia Eubanks; mother-in-law, Joyce Haley; and her father-in-law, Roberts S. Haley.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Haley; daughters, Lynn Albritton (Ray) and Jennifer Powell (Randy Harney); grandchildren, Jamie Albritton (Mitzi), Jeremy Albritton (Brigitte), Josh Powell (Lauren), and Jordan Powell (Brooke); great grandchildren, Haddie Albritton, Rylee Albritton, Kadence Albritton, Finley Powell, Hollis Powell, Jaidyn Powell, and Sawyer Powell; and her sister, Mildred Browder.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Powell, Jordan Powell, Jamie Albritton, Jeremy Albritton, Ray Albritton, and Randy Harney.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude in Dorothy's honor.
