Funeral services for Dorothy Frances Freeman Laing, 91, of Sterlington will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Crestview Baptist Church in Farmerville with Bro. Rubin Weaver and Bro. Paul Carter officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Laing went to her heavenly home on January 19, 2018. Mrs. Laing retired as an Inspector after 38 years with the Manville/Riverwood Company. She loved her family and truly enjoyed cooking. She was well known for her dumplins, homemade rolls and biscuits. Mrs. Laing always put others above herself and found good in everyone.

Mrs. Laing was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer V. Freeman, Sr. and Fred Laing; parents, Henry Martin & Dorothy Sanders Adams; one daughter, Therese Freeman Haye; one sister, Ruby Russell; and one brother, J.W. Martin.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, E. Victor Freeman, Jr. of Sterlington, La., Don Freeman of Sterlington, La. and Von Freeman & wife, Mary Dee of Farmerville; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Freeman, Jonathan Freeman, Shane Freeman, Kaci Freeman, Kade Freeman, Dustin Freeman and Kristin Freeman Ross; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanine Martin; special friend, Nellie Turner; and a host of other friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Kade Freeman, Dustin Freeman, Jonathan Freeman, Kenneth Freeman and John Ross.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm 7:00pm, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Crestview Baptist Church.
