Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jane Honeycutt Dyke, age 91 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday February 18, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Gloria D. Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dorothy was a professional seamstress and served her community with beautiful creations from wedding gowns to cheerleader uniforms. She was fiercely independent and loved the outdoors and gardening. Mrs. Dorothy took pride in her auto mechanic skills as well as her semi-truck driving and cabinetry and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband: James Edward Dyke, her parents: Leo Baxter Honeycutt Sr. and Bertha Mae Stennet Honeycutt.

She is survived by her children: Gloria Dyke Steele and husband Jim, Peggy Dyke Aswell and husband Jerry, Ronald Dyke (Angie), Donald Dyke and wife Tammy, James B. Dyke, and Albert Dyke and wife Connie; her brothers: Leo B. Honeycutt (Marie), Hayward Honeycutt, Bobby Joe Honeycutt (Helen), and Carl Honeycutt; sisters: Louise Thurmond, Margie Sheets, Nellie Sue Honeycutt, Francis Turlington (Jack), Virginia Morgan, Lillian Gregory, and Cherry Peterson (Steve); 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Steele, Cam Steele, Dylan Woods, Steven Dyke, Dustin Dyke, and Jesse Dyke.

Visitation will be held from 12:00PM till 2:00PM Saturday February 18, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
