A funeral service for Mrs. Doris Smith, 91, of Farmerville, La., will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, 2:00 PM at Farmerville First Baptist Church in Farmerville, La. with Bro. Kurt Auger and Bro. Gary Courtney officiating. Interment will follow in Bernice City Cemetery in Bernice, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Farmerville First Baptist in Farmerville, La., prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Doris passed away on January 9, 2022. She was a wonderful and loving Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Doris was the glue that held her family together. Her children shared that she made the best fried chicken, and the best cheeseburgers you ever could eat. She lived and died on her own terms and she was positive about life and her eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ right up until the very end. Doris was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Smith; her parents, Thomas and Dorothy Williams; one grandson, Luke Adams; and her siblings, Harold Williams, Bob Williams, Jim Williams, Keith Williams, Thomas Vernon Williams, Jr., Joyce Randolph, and Yvonne Yakel.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Thomas Dean Williams (Randi), Mary Lou Thomas (Rex), Lana Patton (Minor), Linda Alford (Ricky), Bill Smith (Leta) along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and an untold number of friends.

Pallbearers will be Carson Adams, Caden Cole, Taylor Adams, Hunter Wilson, Spencer Smith, Parker Hines, Tanner Hines, Wayne McMichael, and Nathan Doyon.
